Expenses / Direct Costs

In a budget / contract, the expenses / direct costs refer to all the non labor costs that are needed to execute the contract. For example:

  • Travel and accommodation
  • Software licences
  • Hosting fees
  • Equipment
  • 3rd party service

In most cases there is no margin associated with these items as you charge them at cost to the client. Nonetheless, Conduite does allow to specify a margin in the Budget Builder. This can be useful when you are reselling services and get a commission (ex: hosting services, licences).
